DID YOU KNOW THAT:

• George Washington held hundreds of Africans and African descendants in brutal bondage as slaves?
• He held at least nine of them at America's first "White House," which was in Philadelphia at the site of the new Liberty Bell Center at 6th & Market?

BUT DID YOU ALSO KNOW THAT:

• With the multi-million dollar funding from Mayor John Street and Congressman Chaka Fattah, Avenging The Ancestors Coalition (ATAC) and others won the fight to force the federal government to build a memorial — for the first time in American history — to honor those and all other enslaved Africans and enslaved African descendants?
• You and our entire community can help to design that historic memorial by attending the Mayor's Public Forum.
